Dr. Valin S. Jordan is an Assistant Professor of Diversity Education. Her doctorate is in curriculum and instruction with a focus on curriculum theory and social justice, with particular interest on how our identities (race, gender, class, sexuality, religion, etc.) have implications for not only classroom practice but larger societal interactions. Through her work as a researcher and teacher educator she has recognized the broader connections that can be made to the practice of yoga. Through Yoga4SocialJustice she seeks to support people in their journeys to utilize their yoga practice to work towards a more just society.
